Our first music video CSP is BLACKPINK - How You Like That.

Audience

1) What are BLACKPINK fans known as - and what would the demographics / psychographics be for the BLACKPINK audience?

Blinks are the phrase to describe a black pink fan.The black pink fan base demographically consist of teens - young adults from Asia.

2) What audience pleasures are offered by the music video for How You Like That?

-Diversion:music video conventions - performance,effects,fast pace etc.

-Personal relation ship: fan interaction online through social media is a key element of k-pop's global success. fans frrl like they know the band members.  

-Personal Identity:K-pop fandom often involves copying the look of band members and seeing their own style reflected on screen.

3) Pick out three particular shots, scenes or moments in the video that would particularly appeal to BLACK PINK fans. Why did you choose those moments? 

-I think the reason they had them all have there shots taken at this distance (medium shots) is because they can then show the performance and they face in equal balance. 

4) How was the How You Like That music video marketed and promoted to the audience?

-The video 'how you like that' promotes its self through the media and they do this by posting teasers and also communicate with there fan base.they also produce merchandise for there fan base to buy. 

5) Why is K-pop a global phenomenon and what has helped it to become so popular?

-The reason for why k-pop is a global phenomenon is because its new and could be peoples first experience to music from another countries.Also they might be attracted to the style of the k-pop bands and how they dress.

Industry

1) How were BLACKPINK formed and what records have they broken?

-Black pink was formed in 2016 by Korean entertainment company YG entertainment have broken the record for the most followed girl group on spottily and the most subscribed music group.

2) What other successful artists have YG Entertainment created? You may need to Google this.

-BIG BANG,WINNER AND TREASURE were all made by YG entertainment which were also the the company that made BLACK PINK.

3) How has technology and the internet (known as technological convergence) changed the way audiences consume music videos?

-At the start,the only source of media was old school television,news paper and radio but during the age of new technology things like computers,phones and laptops and later on apps were created.The apps that helped boost main stream media is you tube,twitter,Facebook and Instagram.

4) How do BLACK PINK and K-pop show that the media and music industries are now global?

-They show this by going on global tours.Global tours are when a group with high influence in main stream media go on a tour around the world to spread there influence and meet up with there fan base on a global level. 

5) How are UK-based music videos regulated and what types of content require warnings? 

-UK based music videos are regulated by the British board of film classification(BBFC).The types of content that requires a warning are bad language dangerous behaviour presented as safe and nudity.
