Mise-en-scene

1)the use of costume in the opening scene showed the audience that the show is based in the past as the clothing used looks outdated. i can see some of the characters were wearing trench coats, sleepless puffer jackets and baggy jeans. 2)in the opening scene the use of the dark gave the audience suspend and keeps them wanting to know more 3)the opening setting suggests to the audience that the  show is a horror/science fiction show which might me interesting to some people  extension   A ctor placement and movement the actor placement helped with the pace the clip by ether slowing it down or speeding it up    the make up used to create the beginning made a mystery/science setting for the rest of the series  the props used created the setting by adding a theme instead of a empty room

Editing blog task

  1) Watch the first minute of the clip . How many times does it cut? (This is when the shot changes - the first cut in the scene is after 9 seconds). in the first minute of the clip it cuts 14 times  2) How does the pace (speed) of cuts change between 1 minute and 1.30? the pace of the  cuts between 1 and 1:30 was quick to shoe more things in a shot period of time  3) Why is the scene emotional for the audience to watch? to the audience it shows Vincent  van gogh in close up shot to show his emotional facial   4) How is juxtaposition (two shots placed next to each other) used at 1.58 to create meaning for the audience?  to show a different perspective/position of the two characters 5) What do you think is the most important shot in this scene and why?  the close up clip of Vincent van gogh shows  show the audience what hes felling/his facial expression is to the people watching

Denotation and Connotation water aid  Denotation: -A young boy -title saying saying “Dig toilets Not greaves” -company=Water aid -Dirty clothes  -A house is the background  Connotation: -The white bold writing so we see it and makes us think about   -the blue in the company probably resembles the water  Analysis: -the effect that the reader may have on this picture is guilt and might feel bad for the kid in the photo as he might be living in poverty and might not be able to get water. This might tempted the person seeing this into donating in the charity

camerawork

1)the first camera shot is a close up shot and this shows the audience the type of expression of there face. The second camera shot is a medium close up and this shows the audience her bode and background.the final camera shot i saw in the scene was a two shot and in this it shows the audience  two people in good detail(usually from the wast up) 2)the close up shot showed the whole face and is usually used to show the emotion of the character and might make the audience watching feel a specific way. 3)the type of camera movement used was handheld and the probably chose this for that clip show the fast face movement and show the urgent see in the character. The effect the audience would get is the panic of the characters.
