this advert was purposely made in 1950s as they have put a famous star called Audrey Hepburn who was well known during the 1950s

Audrey Hepburn was a famous super star during the 1950 and mad movies 

3) Why did Galaxy select Audrey Hepburn for this advert? 

galaxy did this for nostalgia and the who advert is reference to that one movie called Roman Holiday that Audrey Hepburn

Intertextuality is where one media product (e.g. Galaxy) makes reference to other media products (e.g. Audrey Hepburn movies such as 1953 film Roman Holiday) to interest and engage the audience.

in this advert Audrey Hepburn is showing dominance in this ad

the males in this film are shown being the ones who are taking orders from the women

at the start is shows the women being saved by the man like in a stereotypical prince and princes style but then she takes the hat of the bus driver and puts it on the man in the car and instead of siting next to the guy she sits in the back

they used cgi to recreate her face in the ad and placed her face over another actors face

this ad is based in Italy and show a lot of Italian  stereotypes for example the over exaggerated hand movements,the auguring and the moped passing by 

5)Women in the 1950s are represented very differently in two of our advertising CSPs: OMO and Galaxy. What similarities and differences can you find by analysing the two products?

the similarities in  both csp and omo is that they show the women on the front page on both magazine but the diffence is that csp show women in power and omo show women in a weaker position
